Wildcard Country Championships Qualifier - Sunday 21 March 2021

  • The award winning Muswellbrook Race Club is one of the oldest continuous race clubs in NSW, having been established in 1862, and has an excellent reputation with the support of many leading country, provincial and city trainers.

  • Its spacious 2010m track, with a 400m straight, provides fair and exciting racing, allowing all horses to perform at their best.

  • The Club, located approximately 250km north of Sydney in the Upper Hunter, has played host to the $50,000 Country Championships Wild Card – the final chance to qualify for the $500,000 Final, since the inception of the series in 2015.

  • The racecourse is 2.5km west of the town centre just off Denman Road and is named Skellatar Park after the original Estate on which the racecourse was established by the Bowman family in the late 1800’s.

  • The RN Webber Racing Centre, which houses the Silks Restaurant, is very popular for weddings, birthdays and corporate functions as well as being used for members and sponsors on race days.
