About
For one of such tender years, Tommy Berry has put together an impressive list of achievements including a Doncaster Mile win on Sacred Falls, a Golden Slipper win, an Epsom Handicap victory and has also risen to once become stable rider for the power Gai Waterhouse stable.
Berry has also managed a stint in Hong Kong where he collected a Group One win on Military Attack, just hours after his arrival. He again went back the following March to claim the prestigious Hong Kong Derby aboard Designs on Rome for John Moore then followed it up with the QEII Cup and Hong Kong Classic Cup on the same horse.
Berry lost his twin brother, fellow jockey Nathan Berry, in April 2014. He honoured the memory of his brother in the best possible way throughout The Championships, taking out two of the feature races and saluting the heavens as he passed the winning post. Berry was the co-recipient (with James McDonald) of The Championships jockey award, appropriately named the Nathan Berry Medal.
