With rides on two favourites in the four Group One races during Day 2 of The Star Championships at Royal Randwick on Saturday, James McDonald is still favourite to claim the 2020 Nathan Berry Medal.

McDonald was TAB's $1.50 favourite prior to Day 1 of The Star Championships but only secured three points after riding Nature Strip to victory in the TAB TJ Smith Stakes.

The market has re-opened and McDonald remains favourite at $2.60. McDonald is aboard $3 favourite Funstar in the Coolmore Legacy Stakes along with $3.90 favourite Danon Premium in the Longines Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
