A tough winner of the Inglis Classic in January of 2014, the two year old triple crown races beckoned for the almost black Peggy Jean. Coming back in the Magic Night Stakes (G2), Peggy Jean looked the winner when closing fast for second. Electing to skip the Golden Slipper, she next lined up at The Championships in the Sires’ Produce (G1). Relishing the extra distance, she produced another excellent run down the straight and this time emerged the victor.
