A newcomer to group racing for the 2014 Autumn, Diamond Drille has quickly stamped her authority as one of the best mares in Australia taking home the Queen of the Turf Stakes (G1) at the Championships as well as the Aspiration Quality (G3). Initially appearing as a three year old, Diamond Drille won three of her first five starts. Beating home group one performers Royal Descent and Knoydart, her campaign was cut short after a tendon injury which sent her to the paddock for six months.
